I think though that from a spiritual perspective it could help people to try to understand Him better and therefore understand their own faith better if they believe in Him. Everyone is entitled to their own interpretation, so as long as the author understood their point of view may not be the truth to every reader, there's nothing wrong with expressing their ideas. <br />2. Hannah made a good point about the temptation of power. It takes a lot to ignore being humanly selfish, but I think that's also what makes Jesus the figure that he has become- he was able to overcome that nature.
